Global infrastructure investor Actis has strengthened its data centre capabilities in Korea through an exclusive partnership with local industry expert ADIK.

The move is in line with Actis’ wider strategy to capitalise on the growing demand for digital infrastructure in Asia and beyond.
Actis has investments across Asia, Africa and Latin America and has raised over $19 billion since its inception.
Actis has already made headway in the Korean market through a partnership last year with GS Engineering & Construction to construct a $315 million data centre – with a capacity of 26MW – in Pyeongchon.
Actis also recently completed the acquisition of its second Korean data centre site located in the centre of Seoul, which is expected to be ready for service in Q2 2023.

ADIK will be joining Actis’ Korea team, providing exclusive advisory services covering technical and design requirements, efficiency improvement, cost reduction and operation monitoring.
ADIK is led by CEO Yoon-sik Jeong, who has held senior executive positions with Oracle, IBM, PWC and Korea Telecom. ADIK CTO is Young-jin No – who has held positions with AWS and LG Uplus – and the CSO is Jeong-Gang Lee who was previously at Korea Telecom.
