Data Center Overview
Data Center Overview
Ansan is a key industrial and technological hub in the southwestern metropolitan area, an area experiencing a rapid surge in demand for advanced manufacturing and AI infrastructure. Along with the fast-growing technology ecosystem—spanning Digital Transformation, AI, Big Data, and Cloud—it provides an optimized environment for building diverse IT solutions due to its excellent access to major power and communication infrastructure.
To meet this demand, we are establishing a new data center campus at a strategic location in Ansan. From the design phase, the Timbuktu Ansan Center has incorporated global standards of stability, scalability, and sustainability to provide the efficient and reliable IT infrastructure environment that customers require.
Due to its proximity to the Seoul and Pyeongtaek areas, the site offers easy connectivity to major communication and power networks. It is expected to supplement the limited supply of data centers in the southwestern metropolitan region in the future. The campus is designed to secure reliability at a Tier III or higher level and meet ESG and energy efficiency standards (e.g., a PUE of 1.3 or lower).
Actis Ansan DC - Key Features
Actis Ansan DC
Key Features
- Hyperscale Infrastructure: Moving beyond the traditional market centered on the three major telecommunications companies, we provide the hyperscale infrastructure required by global Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and large enterprise customers.
- Independent Colocation: Provision of independent colocation floor space on each level.
-
High Reliability: Construction of stable data infrastructure facilities at an Uptime Tier III or higher level
(No Single Points of Failure - NO SPOFs). - Customizable Cooling: Offers an optimal PUE through a customizable air/liquid cooling operating environment, allowing customers to select the cooling system best suited to their requirements.
- Multi-Layered Security: Implementation of a 5-step multi-security system and multi-factor authentication-based access control to accommodate the individual security requirements of each customer.
- Carrier Neutrality: Guarantees connection to various ISPs and networks through a neutral data center policy with redundant/diversified cable routes.
- Advanced Architectural Design: Provides a flexible infrastructure environment through high-load and high-ceiling designs compared to standard commercial Data Centers.
- Sustainability & ESG: Utilization of renewable energy, such as solar power (PV) and fuel cells, with a goal of improving PUE through monitoring and analysis systems.
- Global Standard Operations: Provides operational stability and customer technical support at a global standard data center level.
